Brief info
Christinia Eala is from the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota and the founder of Tiyospaye Winyan Maka (TWM), which is Lakota for the “Extended Family of Women of the Earth.” TWM is a native led organization that spearheaded the Hughes Land Back Initiative in Fort Collins, Colorado. Along with working on land back projects and initiatives, TWM promotes alternative housing and energy, nutritional sovereignty for indigenous women and their families and education regarding traditional ways, medicine and the sacredness of our animal relatives and unci Maka (grandmother earth). Christinia currently sits on the board of directors for the Boulder County United Nations Association and on the advisory board for Colorado’s office of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives. Christinia holds a partnership with the Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition.
