Julian Matthews, enrolled Nez Perce, has been deeply involved in environmental issues for over 20 years, focusing on protecting the Treaty of 1855 rights. Julian works to ensure that the Nez Perce people’s rights to hunt, fish, and gather are safeguarded for future generations. He is dedicated to educating Tribal youth and adults about issues affecting the Nimiipuu and promoting active involvement in protecting Treaty rights.
