Osvaldo “Ozzie” Cabral, MA, LPC, LAC (Wixarika /Chichimeca) is the Executive Director and co-founder of Cuetlachtepetl Wolf Mountain Education Center (CWMEC) located in Bailey, Colorado. CWMEC hopes to heal the bond between people, wolves, and wolf-dogs. CWMEC is guided by indigenous cultural values and provides educational programming, cultural experiences, community support and opportunities for direct interaction with the animals as a means of restoring the relationship between humans and our relatives of the Wolf Nation. Ozzie has been actively involved in wolf and wolfdog advocacy since 2010 and initially founded Song of the Wolf Healing Center in 2016. He serves on the board of Harvest of All First Nations, an organization focused on Indigenous-led reparations, rematriation and Earth-based decolonization. Ozzie is also the Director of Clinical Services at Mile High Recovery Center and has worked in addictions and mental health since 2002.
